I am getting excited in the run up to Christmas, there are so many fun cards, gifts and decorations to make, you need to start prepping now!
Who doesn’t love fairy lights? they make the home feel all warm and cosy, so this Christmas wreath is the perfect festive craft & really easy to make.
What you will Need
10m Wire string fairy lights
Dovecraft felt in dark red, light red and green
Simply Creative rainbow pearls 6mm
Dovecraft Ultimate Glue
Scissors
How to Make
Take your fairy lights and firstly check they work, then create a circle roughy 25cms in diameter. Wrap the last bit of wire around the top to hold it in place.
Take your dark red felt and cut out 6 poinsettia flowers roughly 7cms in diameter. You can find lots of templates on Pinterest to help you with the shape. Cut 3 poinsettias in the lighter red. Cut 6 green leaves.
Layer 3 flowers together, sticking them down with the ultimate glue in-between layers, then glue two leaves to the back of each flower. Leave to dry.
When dry add yellow pearls to the centre of each flower.
Cut 3 strips of felt and use them to attach the flowers to the bottom of the wreath with glue, leave to dry.
I can’t wait till it’s time to put the decorations up. This wreath will sit pride of place in my home. If you make this project I would love to see so don’t forget to tag me, use @i_heart_maggie for Instagram or @IHeart_Maggie on twitter.
